Today marks Jennifer Aniston’s 51st birthday, and what better way to commemorate it than with her stunning photo shoot from the Interview magazine cover story! The talented actress was interviewed by none other than Sandra Bullock for the feature, and she had some interesting things to share.
Regarding women supporting women, it’s a new topic of conversation, but I believe we’ve been doing it for a while. When I arrived in Los Angeles at the age of 20, I met a group of girls who are still my friends today. They were on a different path, and I had never experienced having a group of women who would get together and talk for hours. At first, I thought it was strange that they talked about their feelings and cried in front of each other. As a New Yorker, I felt like I had landed on Mars when I found myself in Laurel Canyon, wearing a flowery dress with a crystal around my neck and sage being burned around my head. But I realized that this experience helped me, and it saved me. This business can be harsh, exclusive, and unsupportive, but having a community of women who lift each other up is essential. I remember going to auditions where girls wouldn’t share anything or even try to distract you during your audition to harm your chances.
